Seconding albertsons being decent if its in your area. its unionized and everything. Its kind of a mid union all things considered but its better than nothing. I've worked in a safeway also, and they're technically the same company but that place was considerably worse. It really does depend on the customers and the coworkers though, and it *was* during the height of the pandemic so ymmv. Also, I've had shit jobs rescued by interesting people to talk to, so that's something to consider. Obviously you're not there explicitly to socialize but you get away with what you can.
