I love the comics, movie, and anime, but I do think the comic is my favorite of the 3. Just because Scott Pilgrim is so densely packed with information and gags in every frame, and with a comic you're in control of the rate that information gets beamed into your brain. Like you can take your time to absorb each panel, turn the page when you want, go back if you want. Whereas both the movie and show are very faithful in keeping that same density, but time always passes at 1 second per second, and constantly pausing to see the things that exist for less than 1 second is just a disruptive and bad way of experiencing it. So in order to enjoy them you have to kind of learn to be at peace with the fact that you won't be able to get everything, just let some details flow on by without stopping to acknowledge them. It requires a whole different mindset which is less satisfying to me. (I still love them though.)
