going back to the topic of conditional immortality a bit I do wonder how such an ability thats so tied to the narrative like that would work in a typical Death Battle style versus debate. I'd say most people would treat it as a typical regeneration/immortality ability but would the fight set up be involved? Like say the god-tier in question is the instigator of the fight and generally portrayed as the bad guy. If their opponent got a good hit in would their death be considered a just one and thus their immortality would basically be a non-factor? Even if you forego the fight set-up would the character's actions in the comic itself still apply? Would a god-tier fighting a villain character have their death be considered heroic? Would you just take the characters in a vacuum and completely ignore what they do in the story for the sake of debate?
