I watched it fairly recently in theatres myself, actually! I can definitely understand feeling like it was a bit of a snoozer. i was enraptured by the images the whole time... wong absolutely does have an incredible eye. i totally disagree on the leads' chemistry though!!!! it was restrained for sure, but i thought their chemistry was absolutely electric, personally. not so bombastic compared to like, When Harry Met Sally where they're totally eyebanging the entire time, but it had this very real awkward unsure-of-itself edge to it that i found so totally compelling
