you're right.. the longer you're in the hetalia fandom the more "ooc" they get.. and in honestly a better way, hetalia is very shallow and it's not necessarily a bad thing because. it's a comedy anime of course it is. but what made me really like hetalia for years now is it being purely carried by fanon, so many nuanced and interesting ideas of the concept of an "immortal being representing populations of people and culture throughout history". if hetalia was alot more serious i wonder how it would be like today honestly.

of course i still love the slop of it all, the human aus, normal typical fanon stuff that can be found anywhere else. but i probably take hetalia way too serious than it actually presents itself despite how right, terrible it actually is lmao
