i rewatched it earlier this year and it honestly blows so bad 😭 just no good... no good at all. i could see it maybe being fun in a group setting, though.

i think often about how con air is kind of just a worse version of "Wild at Heart", which is also about nic cage with a southern accent, who also goes to jail for manslaughter. and then at the end of the movie, he also reunites with his blonde wife and child (whose childhood he missed out on cuz he was in jail). the meat of the movie is pretty different (wild at heart is about loving speedmetal and having a lot of good sex, and also the wizard of oz), but.... same bread!
