I really liked the Killing Game route, I think it was probably the bleakest killing game story I've read from Kodaka just because there's no actual "mystery" this time, the horror is in seeing them all turn on one another to perpetuate the cycle of violence and entertain the sick dude making them all do it. It happens super fast, and Takumi's inner monologue during it is so depressing lol but I love that kind of angst. I at first didn't think I'd like Takumi as a protagonist but he easily shot up as one of my favorite Kodaka protags, right after maybe Shuichi and Naegi.

Takumi stands out because he's a heroic figure who is literally "knight" coded and wields a sword etc. He wants to protect everyone but has to choose between using extreme amounts of violence or passivism to do it, and only he has the power to go back at any time and make another choice. Even when he goes back and tries over and over to make things right a second, third, or even fifth time he still has the drive to try and save everyone, and that's admirable in my opinion. Even if I can't say I'd have personally done the same as him lol T_T
