this is probably wasting my breath (typing? whatever) but if you tried to avoid every single thing that has some horrible person working on it at some point or another youd have very little to do with yourself. Maybe play hoop and stick.
Have you noticed how in like tv shows, movies, video games all that kinda stuff they tend to have lists and lists of people who worked on them? Even books often have multiple people behind the scenes though thats less obvious. Usually we do not know if any of those people are bad until something happens.
Have you heard of the video game Elebits? wonderful thing. very influential to me. One of the main artists for the first game and lead artist for the sequel went on to do Made In Abyss. And I tried. I read way more than I probably should trying to find a scrap of truth that all that horrific stuff is for drama for horror to make you uncomfortable but no. Its not. It is meant to be titillating to a specific group of people and it devastated me. But he was not the only person who worked on Elebits. Just one hand of many. The game is still charming and fun and sweet and I love it dearly, even if there is a stain that only showed itself many years later.
Now i dont care about hellaverse. I dont really like vivzie shes annoying at best and has been stuck in a horrific never ending discourse vortex of her own making for over a decade. But she isn't the only person on those shows, hell you even say that one writer is the rape fetish person. When it comes to the homestuck pilot her sole role is producer. She's basically just bankrolling the thing. Producers have very limited input on the actual creative process side of things. Just a wee little stain on a (hopefully fun) work. And who knows maybe in a year or two we'd find something awful about one of the voice actors or someone on the animation staff or whatever. That doesn't make the whole thing a lost cause.
Now of course there are exceptions to the rules. if someone like, say, JKR, goes on and announces that every single cent she earns from her work is going to fund transphobic causes then... That's kinda when you gotta give something up because even on HP things she doesn't directly touch shes's still getting those $$$. But also if its a series you watched/read before knowing about how JKR is you dont have to beat yourself up over liking it. A LOT of people liked the damn thing thats how she can do what she does. You can have fond feelings for a thing you once supported but no longer do, a bit of nostalgia.
Mind crimes are not real. No one can hurt you for having a thought in your mind.
