I think I agree with you, though the difference is I also think they're compensating for the new medium with changing around certain properties, which I don't hear anyone talk about. An interview I saw on Tumblr stated they're not going to replicate the story one-to-one but maintain the general flow of events. I think the pesterlogs visualizing the person speaking could make for some fun gimmicks if properly utilized, too. I'm willing to give it a try, and even fall in love with it if I need to.

My question though is, how the hell are they going to come up with a new gimmick for Scratch? I'm damn excited to see a new interpretation of his character quirks.
