I think the biggest issue is that the soundtrack doesn't really fit the tone. From the atmospheric dungeon themes to the intense battle themes, every track feels like it fights right into the mysterious and intriguing mood the game tries to establish.

Meanwhile with the PSP soundtrack you have to listen to the singer going OVERWRITE THIS PAIN TEARING ME APAAAART when the flow of battles doesn't really match all that excitement and a similar feeling is true to a lot of other tracks.
