To be clear I'm not presenting this as hard evidence or anything that phrases like "Vriska did nothing wrong" "X did nothing wrong" are ok. It's kind of hard to corroborate these claims considering I was barely sentient in pre-k in 2006. But considering its fandom relevance it may be possible this is where you heard it from.
