As a longtime fan of the overall franchise and a more recent entry into the card game, the archetypes I tend towards are largely completely unrelated to the characters or series I like. I'd love to rep my faves more, but a lot of them are either unplayably bad or bullshit and uninteractive. (One of the most bullshit decks in the current format is an overly memory-efficient OTK whose only out is to have large blockers that are immune through the opponent's turn, and playing into it is already painful enough, but it also has my face on it which is a special kind of hell. If I see any of y'all playing it, I won't do anything unsporting but know that I will hold it against you. Banlist can't come soon enough.) Fortunately since I play online I can just, uh. Try basically everything without breaking the bank. So I rotate between decklists depending on what's new in the current set and what I feel like testing.
Overall excited for the Several Things Happening At Once starting this autumn. It really feels like we're entering a golden age comparable to the V-Tamer era except with the benefit of two and a half decades of experience and polish this time. They literally got the showrunner of the previous best Digimon anime (Savers) returning for the new one, I'm extremely optimistic.
(Oh, before I forget to post my faves:
Best evolution song is the arrange of Target ~Akai Shougeki~ from 02 The Beginning.
I'm willing to throw hands on this hill.)
