It's unfortunate regarding Meenah; I wonder if maybe ironing out her character to be less stereotypical and just having her be a black-coded alien would be received better. The idea of a black-coded ruler of Alternia isn't necessarily doomed. It could be done well. I should read "piccolo is black". I've heard good things about it, and it talks about exactly this.
