It makes sense to be skeptical about some things, being skeptical of everything just feels silly. I think when Miles says Hussie doesn't make money off the HICU patreon, he's probably truthful. I think that the workplace culture Gio asserts exists might be based off his subjective experience that only exists because of prior circumstances he created (not that I necessarily believe the Hiveswap articles are all made up either, though), and not accurate to the experience of a lot of members there.

I do not think that the discord logs are all just made up, though, because if the conversation was really still at "can we even trust that a single word of Gio's post has any validity to it whatsoever", they wouldn't have gotten this response.

Arguing that something is framed dishonestly does not preclude any specific piece of it from being true, and if nobody is in disagreement but the outsiders with vested interest in thinking the situation isn't as bad as it looks, I don't view that position as worth taking particularly seriously.

That's in my best interest too, by the way. I would much rather be a fan and supporter of Hussie and Homestuck than not-that. But you can't say "what can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence" when your reason for dismissing something also lacks evidence.
