This makes me want to reread Homestuck again for like the third time or whatever just so I can have a different perspective, because I have always really liked Vriska, but I never considered this framing of her character and it's really interesting. I do find that a lot of people who dislike her seem to think she didn't face enough consequences for her actions, when in reality, I think Homestuck is nothing but "Vriska does something bad and faces all of the consequences. All of them. Forever actually. And they continually snowball into a giant avalanche of consequences."
There is something to be said about how, even though Gamzee literally goes on a whole murder spree, a lot of people still hate Vriska the most out of anyone in the comic, even though she tries to change repeatedly and does work to better herself. She may not always be perfect or whatever, but I think the fact that she tries at least is a testament to how she's not nearly as terrible as a lot of readers think.
Whenever a woman does something bad in a piece of media a lot of people expect not just instant consequence but "satisfying" consequence where it has to make them feel good to see this woman get what she deserves, and I hate that because even when a female character loses basically everything in the end it still isn't enough for some people and they think she got off basically scott free and needs to still be punished. I definitely agree with you on your take about how Vriska is constantly seen as the worst of her friend group by her friends when they're all also equally as terrible to one another. I would even go so far as to say the whole Meteorstuck arc is them trying to pin the blame on one person, but in reality, it was everyone's fault that led to this downward spiral.
Honestly, that whole part of the comic is one of my favorite arcs because it kind of starts really lighthearted with Karkat trying to rally the others into trolling the humans, but ends in a horror movie fashion with the slasher coming to get everyone. And they all want to find someone who is to blame for things going so terribly wrong and Vriska is often seen as "the reason things are going south" all of the time, when that whole arc wasn't even her fault fr I feel like I could write on and on about how each troll is somewhat responsible, but that's a lotta words.
It's why I don't exactly see vriska as a villain or whatever, she is antagonistic at times but that's not like a crime or anything.
