As a longtime Vriska defender this is the best explanation I've seen for the trans read of her. Both detailed and concise. Love it.
In particular the read of the Terezi/Vriska dynamic of punishment which really got me thinking. Like, themes of living up societal expectations (or not) are core to the whole comic, and this one in particular brings a lot of texture to that. Like, there's a way in which the big issues with ALL of troll society get embodied in Vriska, who then gets personally punished as a kind of stand in for the structural problem. In a similar way to how transmisogyny weaponizes larger issues of misogyny against trans women. IDK, not a fully formed thought but, just to say again this post is such a productive lens to read the comic with.
