Re: MSPFA
So Makin doesn't own it? That's good to know, thank you for clearing that up. I was under the impression it was connected to the Reddit and Discord, which Makin does own, iirc.
I've also seen some pretty awful things come from Makin's Discord, and I thought that Discord was connected to MSPFA via the same owner, so I assumed it was the MSPFA Discord people mention. Are there two separate Discords? I don't use Discord for anything but a texting/group chat app, so I'm unaware of how many Homestuck Discords there may be. As far as I know, there's one Discord for the fandom, and then an official one made recently, and a couple of Reddits that splintered off the main Reddit, where people post pictures of June Egbert as a soyjack hanging herself.
As for the MSPFA, I'm just not really putting any faith in a fan collection that considers a hateful review clearly not made by a fan to be a fair-use let's play. I've never really engaged with it myself, because I see a lot of screenshots from the Discord (maybe another Discord?) that seem vile, like claiming Hussie isn't transgender, harassing trans women, and just being overall cruel.
Even if it's the wrong Discord and there's some other one that's doing the harassment, this 'fanwork' alone puts a bad taste in my mouth. I'd rather not use a site possibly putting works in danger by playing with the ever-lit bomb that is copyright law...
Thank you for the polite replies, though ^^ If I'm wrong about the Discord being connected I'll take your word for it.
