i actually think that a lot of "sburb mechanics" aren't really game constructs, but gamified abstractions of fundamental mechanisms of the universe. sylladex/modi/specibus are heavily used outside of the game, and alchemy is also very much commercialized (at least on the second iteration of earth: B2 dave alchemized statues of liberty, jane had a recipe modus and a disassembler thingy), although i'm not sure if that's just something HIC got from the sburb and then brought to earth or if it was invented independently


aspect magic could also be another inherent part of the universe which sburb just reuses for it's purposes - having the players intuitively understand what makes universe work should improve the odds. fraymotifs are no different - sburb categorizes well working aspect synergies, and then provides players with an easy way to learn about them


now echeladders could be a genuine invention of sburb - it looks like a leveling system designed to help players navigate their powers (some objects have echeladders of their own, but i assume they are just for comedic effect
