As much as Satya Bhabha's performance majorly influenced the start of my love for the Scott Pilgrim franchise (i watched the movie first), I do wish Matthew Patel was darker skinned in live-action. I wonder if the reason why Matthew Patel was lighter skinned was either colorism or because the color editions wouldn't be out until 2012? but then again, Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game came out in 2010, along with the movie, and in the game Matthew Patel is brown, so the idea of brown Matthew Patel existed Somewhere, right?

also this poster is egregious. the lighting is so bad. compare this to the video game sprite, he looks whitewashed! 😭
