Loading reply snippet...As for more minor, not-unspeakably-evil grievances; Yeah, there's a long list of them that people have. I think they can mostly be boiled down to "the mods are too trigger happy and shut down discussion of <XYZ>".

Part of this is a result of the server itself being 13+ to appease Discord. Apparently your server can't talk about certain subjects if it's a "discoverable" discord or something? But "sanitizing" your content to appease "the algorithm" is nothing new on the internet.

If nothing else, banning 18+ topics does help to prevent certain kinds of unspeakably-evil abuse from happening. Not that explicit discussion/images are inherently evil, though, and I do think there should be spaces where those kinds of things are allowed (within reason.)
