its really interesting that its how karkats hive is shown at the end of the intermission rather than how it actually looks. maybe its some kind of bait-and-switch?

my personal theory is that the story has to move faster than normal, so we are seeing Karkat before he ever actually talks to the kids on the meteor or maybe they start to troll the kids while in their own session and then get on the meteor and have already met.
Basically, they switched some things around the story so that the pacing can fit in this pilot episode I'm assuming.
Also that is a SpriteCrabDad so i assume they have already started to play their game, but Karkat's waiting for something or whatever lol.
