let us weave facts together

skaianet is engaging in a massive cloning project. what is the Earth B1 Batterwitch trying to clone? we know the answer to this.

she was trying to clone trolls. of course, this would be her goal as a troll supremacist. but could she possibly have had another ulterior motive? yes she did. for you see, there was a PROPHECY THE SUPERSTITIOUS BATTERWITCH DESPERATELY WISHED TO AVOID.

Nannasprite tells Fedorafreak a fairytale version of her horrible old life. This tells us two things: Jane and Jake were destined to be married, and their children would go on to save the world. Surely this refers to John and Jade, right? WRONG. JOHN AND JADE DO NOT SAVE THE WORLD. Despite every good thing they end up doing, the world is destroyed while they are helpless to stop it! So the Prophecy that Nannasprite is an open ended piece, we know for sure that it does not refer to ectobiology or John and Jade at all. So the Batterwitch had reason to believe that Jane and Jake's babies would be dangerous to her aspirational rule. This is why the Batterwitch did EVERYTHING POSSIBLE in order to keep them apart. Not only by confining Jane and controlling her life, but also through more direct means of separation:

Someone else, a very pretty woman with black hair, no glasses, and black lips married Jake. We'll get to the no glasses and black hair in a second. We have no direct proof that the Batterwitch set this up, but, it seems a remarkable coincidence that a woman who looks so much like Jane and HAS A BAKING THEMED NAME ended up marrying Jake. So what does this mean? Nanna never has babies with Jake, right? Does this mean the Prophecy was averted? Oh no.

It is clear that the Batterwitch has a dearth of usable genetic material; otherwise she could easily clone the trolls outright. Dirk tells us about her desperate experiments on B2 to turn human blood different colors, etc. So she had to make do with what she had in the cloning process; and what genetic template was more readily available than her own stepdaughter's? All that needed to be done were a few tweaks, and she would be able to prevent the Prophecy from coming to pass and maybe making headway on her troll cloning project. What do I mean by that second part?

Did she make out with any beautiful troll ladies?

And what of the prophecy? Remember the prophecy I was telling you about? "No," you say? "Because I talk too much," you say? Well, there was the little matter of the prophecy Nannasprite spoke of that the batterwitch desperately wanted to prevent. That Jane and Jake's son and daughter would save the world.

And isn't Anna a Jane?

And aren't there two intrepid kids out there right now?

And aren't there still worlds out there to be saved?
