if so what games do you play? i mostly play maimai and chunithm since they're the closest. taiko sometimes but can't play often bc distance. i wanna try sdvx as well but the learing curve terrifies me and people who play at my arcade are pros already..
scroll up and down to make them jump!!
i dabble in soundvoltex and taiko sometimes when i get the chance (also ddr but i suck ASSSS there)
i love arcade rhythm games just dont get to do them as often as i want
i think ive played maimai. is that the washing machine shaped one.
icon by ME! i make ART!!!
I bought sdvx controller like two years ago and then have literally never used it to play sdvx because I couldn't get it to register with arcade data properly, this thing has seen more roblox than it ever has the game it was designed for
They're going to finally bring pop'n music to the US OFFICIALLY!!, I'm so happy... it's my favorite, and there aren't a lot of cabinets in the US I think. I know one of the R1 locations in TX has a very ancient cab running Tune street. I think sometime I'm going to sell the sdvx controller and buy a new pop'n one I hate the buttons on mine they are so cheap and clunky. & it's all my fault, i'm the one that built it
I really like wacca and I would love to play chunithm but the cabinets they have at Round 1 have fuck all in terms of songs. Tetote connect has a really cute gimmick. I like the drum one where you hit the screen & rim with sticks, the name evades me now but it had great vocaloid licenses last I played

i used to really enjoy playing the older versions of gitadora, although there's no machines near me.
my sea, my tirtha.
re: dualscars
ohh i suck at ddr too, low stamina + bad body coordination on feet + upscroll (IM really bad at reading upscroll) i never even wanna touch it again. then i see dancerush people pulling whole moves while reading the screen? i cant. yup maimai is the washing machine rhythm game!!
re: talentshredder
woah!! i've never tried pop'n music (never seen a machine here) but i always loved the art + songs of it. the art especially, i might've used it as my pfp before because the art style is so cute! i love wacca too i miss it, arcade removed the cab when it went offline :-( i wish they kept it as an offline cab. i live in asia so chunithm is connected online but i honestly seen the limited song selections in offline cabs outside of asia & australia and i pray for you all. and a drum one where you hit the screen? the only drum rhythm games i know are taiko, percussion freaks, or drummania might be either of those 3 maybe.
re: sinistralsatria
there's a gitadora machine at an arcade near me but i swear it's in maintenance for 29 days of the month and only 2 where it's playable. i've tried it once and i sucked hardd (i mean any game you played for the first time tbf)
scroll up and down to make them jump!!
re:davespritejohn
Pop'n is my favorite of all time, every bit of it is so charming & it's so fun especially if you like games that just sit and pander to skilled players. When I played regularly I maxed out at like LV35 but it goes up to 50, those 50 charts are fuckin bananas. did you ever have a favorite character/song? I always loved Nakaji.
I looked up the game I was talking about, it's called Music Diver. I live in the US, I'm real jealous of the chunithm tracklists they have in Asia XD it's so bad here, it's really not even worth playing but every rare time I go to R1 I always see someone playing.. Wacca is offline too, I'm really grateful R1 kept its cabinets around even though it hasn't been updated in I think years.
One of my friends is really good at DDR and I can't wrap my head around it, I don't have hand-foot ... coordination..???! And IIDX, I think I could get the hang of that one if I practiced it more though. We played together and they said I was pretty good for someone that had never properly played before :') even tho I was getting pwned hahaha

im not very good at arcade rhythm games specifically but i’ve been wanting to get into sound voltex for a while, that or taiko
i ate some cookies today and had some lemonade
and then i played some video games
huge fan of pop'n and taiko! i WOULD like ddr but i have similar stamina issues OTL
@talentshredder im not sure how far out it would be from you but i know theres an arcade somewhere??? in louisiana that has a fairly recent pop'n cabinet! it should be called wayback's or something similar. super glad its coming to the US officially tho ^^
