i watched season 1 as it was releasing, loved it. finally started reading the manga last week (only on chapter 40 something as of posting) and i already can't wait to finish it.
the characters are a great cast, but what i love especially is how intricately in love with the world ryoko kui is. she put so much thought into the magical rules, the biology and ecosystem of each monster and their habitats, and the multi-raced culture and history. i can't help but shout it out.
if someone who hasn't read the manga is reading this, read the manga. or, if the full anime is out by the time that someone finds this post And they prefer to watch anime, watch the anime. let this narrative and world take over your entire soul. it's that good.
