any Dungeon Meshi heads here?

i loooove dungeon meshi its like an all time favourite manga for me. some things i love seeing in it are the characters all get along together in their own ways, and the detail of each species and race is down to fashion and lifestyle.

my favourite characters definitely have to be the touden siblings, and izutsumi.

I loooooooove dungeon meshi! I got into it before the anime was released, I was a bright and fresh faced 18 year old who just moved into their college dorm. I read it all in a week or two, and god its so good. Its so good. I second Moth, Mithruns my favorite character.

izutsumi is important to me on a level most do not understand

dungeon meshi helped kickstart my love for cooking and now i can't stop. also i mispronounced falin's name for months because i watched the spanish dub and not the english like everyone else i know. i was confused because i thought they were pronouncing it wrong. was very shocked to hear it was not the case.

mmm yay dungeon meshi!! i got a few of my friends into it while the manga was still releasing and im so glad they enjoyed it. i also really like how much ryoko kui loves dungeon meshi... it makes me glad that everything is so thought out... and its so awesome how everyone actually has goals. that aren't the same as the protagonists. (sometimes i read too much shonen and get blinded) i think mithrun is definitely one of my favorite characters but i like some others more- the way he gets to be a ""broken"" person at the end of the story and he still has carers makes me feel happy. i think i like lycion more though. and izutsumi. furry rights :)

i am a diehard lycion and fleki enjoyer i think they are bffs 4ever and ever and ever. also izutsumi but thats like, a given in this world. my friends compare me to laios often which i can understand because of my strange eating habits however i am just amicable to him. i adore falin however

I'm a filthy anime-only not because I dislike the manga but because I keep getting distracted by other things every time I try sitting down and getting into it despite my friends heckling me to get it over with. (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

I watched the whole anime, and all of the manga ! I'm definitely a huge fan, and i can't wait for trigger to release season 2 :D

Laios isn't my favourite character, but i seem to have gained some kind of evil obsession for this guy.

thought i replied in this thread days ago.... oopsie daisy. ive since finished the entire manga and WOW it was amazing.

i love the variety of favorite characters everyone's mentioned! i think when i made this post i anticipated laois and izutsumi being the favorites across homestuck fans lol.

i think after alls said and done, my favorite character might be chilchuck. the about-to-retire union guy who likes beer but always gets mistaken for a child (for reasons he cannot help) speaks to me on a cosmic level. tho i think his VA being a karkat kin gives me favortism towards him #homestucksolidarity. shoutout to CaseyTheVA if youre here. or just shoutout to the void. i like their work.

but i think the character i relate to most is marcille, or at least her backstory + ultimate desire that culminated from her trauma. and also her appreciation for women, that part is relatable too.

one of these days i wanna sit down and classpect the whole crew. ive got a couple ideas on titles rattling around in my brain, but nothing terribly concrete.

all i know for sure is marcille gives me time player energy

I've watched what exists of the anime a few times now and I'm waiting excitedly for more to come. I love how all the characters feel (literally all of them but also especially the main cast), they're all massive weirdos in exactly the way that every real person is some kind of massive weirdo.

I'm actually a huge fan of Kabru even though I feel like I might not get along with him. Because, like... I know what Kabru is. If Laios has the bad-with-people knows-cool-facts therian autism, Kabru has obsessive-social-charter "I've finally solved people" binging-psychology-articles-on-Wikipedia autism. I've met so many people like him. I think I've qualified as him at more than a few points in my life. He's got low-empathy swag. He's quiet and unreadable and vaguely menacing but that's not because he's, like, a sigma male on the grindset, he's just got a touch of the ol' hypervigilance trying to profile everyone he ever meets so he knows exactly how to act and exactly how to feel and exactly how to get through the unbearable experience of Other People to earn what he needs with minimal pain.

I don't think estrogen would fix Kabru, but...

i finished reading the manga a few days ago and i loved it! i won't go into specifics for anyone not caught up but towards the end things get way crazier than i ever expected, it was awesome! my favorite character is definitely marcille, i love basically everything about her!
