Any idle game fans?

i am truly insane about idle games

right now i've been playing cell: idle factory incremental and it's a REALLY long one but that's just what i want rn.

my absolute favorite is not actually what i'd call an idle game, but instead what i'd call the only actual incremental game in the entire world? it's called Increlution and it's currently unfinished, but it's got a free demo and it's just like... sooooo fucking peak. ticks every box in my diseased little head. highly recommend at least checking out the demo, but keep in mind that the demo only shows off the basic mechanics. every chapter after the first builds on them in increasingly interesting ways

as for actual idle games though, my favorites are mostly pretty standard. Antimatter Dimensions, Revolution Idle, Realm Grinder (haven't played that one in like a decade lol), Melvor Idle... the Magic Research games are both pretty interesting. I hadn't expected the second one to be a worthwhile sequel but it's honestly such a huge improvement, but I'd still recommend the first one.

I'm forever chasing the high that "NGU Idle" was... "Wizard and Minion Idle" (WAMI) scratched the itch for a bit, but NGU is just something special


My other fav is IdleOn MMO, with Idle Skilling as its little sibling game. I haven't played in a couple years though, so I'd prob have to start over, they've just added so much more stuff to it.

Ooh, I love clicker games in particular. My usual go-tos are Bitcoin Billionaire, Clicker Heroes, PickCrafter, and Cell to Singularity, but I've been branching out with some others lately. Recently got Leaf Blower Revolution (not a clicker game) on Steam and that one's pretty fun in it's own right. I do plan to delve a little more into more mobile idle games, though it's hard to find ones that have a good balance of progress and monetization like some of the ones I mentioned. I don't mind the long grind, but not if it feels too slow, you know? And, ads that are optional and reward the player are a great thing in my book, as opposed to any that are forced.

Best recent one I've played was Digseum I think (if u count it, it's not actually super idle but it is incremental) with gnorp as a close second.

Fave is still cookie clicker tho.. hard to beat the OG.

my brain categorizes incremental games separate from idle games but its probably just a squares and rectangles thing

I like NGU (Number Go Up) Idle and The Antimatter Idle Sim.

I enjoy idle games but i think i prefer more active incrementals a lot more, Orb of Creation for example is a very good active incremental, Gnorp is another good one. I just prefer actively doing stuff to make the number go up over waiting for it to happen.

@andy you 1000% gotta play increlution. the max idle time is like 40 minutes realistically

I will take a look at it! I have heard about it but never tried it, been mostly trying out browser idle/incremental games in the last year or so, galaxy.click and incrementaldb are some of my most visited websites because of this lol

oh you know what else is a classic incremental game that no one has mentioned yet? Universal Paperclips

i like to play language learning flashcard apps as idle games. my favorite actual game though is hexplant
