really big fan of the magnus archives and malevolent right now
i LOVE malevolent. i've listened to the magnus archives and i really liked it! i should get back into the magnus protocol at some point.
i haven't listened to the most recent episode of malevolent, i really do need to get to it, but god i love it. i wish there were more women though (though i understand the limitation.)
other than those two, i'm slowly listening to wolf 359 with my partner (he's already listened to it, i haven't.) and i do hope to get into more audio dramas but it's hard for me. i can't properly multitask while i listen, unless im doing something 100% mindless.
I love Magnus archives! i need to finish it! i have like 15 episodes left. if that!
If i didn’t mainly listen to music when drawing, i could be done by now, but alas, i’m not.

im not the biggest magnus archives fan in the world but ive listened to the whole thing and i think its really well made, especially the worldbuilding and voice acting, fucking spectacular. and i really like the distortion :)
what who said that
the magnus archives i sooo good,, i need to relisten to it sometime soon......
LOVE audio dramas! i used to be crazy into tma but i thought about it too much and burned myself out LOL so i can't listen to it anymore. archive 81 is a big favorite, the seasons are all connected but each have their own story and world, so if you aren't into the first season i recommend listening to the third one and seeing if you like it better. wolf 359 was the first audrama i listened to and it will forever have the number one spot in my heart. ars paradoxica is also a really fun one! i have not listened to malevolent yet but it's on my list :)
re: mindless stuff, i looove tetris/minesweeper/solitaire/snake while i listen to podcasts. i don't know if this really counts as 100% mindless but i used to play minecraft and slime rancher a lot, and for tma specifically i would play stardew valley for like 7 hours straight every day while i was listening to that. knitting is nice for podcasts too but i haven't done it in a long while T_T
If we're talking audio dramas, I MUST bring up the eternal classic of Welcome to Night Vale. I really do feel the 2023 - 2024 season was one of the best seasons of the podcast yet. I highly recommend people give it a chance if you have either never listened to it before or you dropped off.

WTNV!!! haven't completely finished it, but its so good as well, I've just been caught up with listening to "Red Valley", which is another one of my favs so far!!! Totally need to take a break from it to finish WTNV!!
I just started Malevolent! I've really been enjoying it a lot! Wolf 359 is my absolute favorite podcast ever, I adore it and always recommend it to anyone who is at all interested in storytelling podcasts.
I've been listening to Archive 81, as well, but just got to the 2nd season of it. I have to pick up ars Paradoxica again I think I have like 5 episodes left
A good one if you like Malevolent would probably be The Silt Verses
@arctic Ooh if you want women, The Silt Verses and Bright Sessions are pretty good choices. Also Mabel podcast! I don't remember too much about really terrible horror in the Bright Sessions, but The Silt Verses is a horror story and it gets fairly gory with the sacrifices/body horror, just as a fair warning.
I usually listen to podcasts while drawing, long drives (The Silt Verses was a bit difficult for this for some of the earlier episodes, though, because the characters started out quiet) or walking my dog. Usually video games are too difficult unless I can do something that doesn't require dialogue so I'm wholly focused on the podcast. Once I started drawing while listening to podcasts, though, I got like 30 or so episodes of WtNV down where it had taken me a lot of starts and stops before just trying to sit there and listen bc I needed something to do with myself other than sitting.

the silt verses is really good so far, i still need to finish it !!!! highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of malevolent as well !!
