Are there any EGL fashion enjoyers?

Kinda wild how there are no lolita's in homestuck I just feel like the idea of a Lolita troll who dresses in the gothic style is a given.

I don't really count the Trickster mode as Lolita fashion either because some of it borders on Decora kei and not actual lolita which I feel maybe Andrew Hussie was poking fun at Decora kei when she designed them like that lol but who knows

I got all my dresses from 42Lolita.com! They have really good prices so it's affordable even for me lol, I didn't have to break the bank to get these. The brands are Niu Niu and Miss Point :3

Also I live in Texas lol so there's not a lot of other lolita's. There are small tea shops though so I can go to tea for my birthday! Which is where I took these nice photos~

i only ever met one other lolita irl and she had to cancel on the little museum trip we planned :( my coord that day was cute tho lol

Also yes 42Lolita is AMAZING especially since they will buy things for you. If there is a brand you want on taobao you can use them as a middleman and they will get the item for you. I always recommend it to newer Lolita's because it's a lot more streamlined than the spreadsheet/translate/Taobao method lol

Given that my money situation is finally No Longer Terrible, and Transition Went Pretty Amazingly, I might be able to wear some soon!! Thank you for the store recs!!

idk if ill ever get super into lolita myself (i like neons too much lol), but i really enjoy the silhouettes. also the hats. oh my god the hats. i am constantly BEGGING for hats to come back into fashion just in general!!! please i would like to wear a fancy schmancy hat and have to take it off indoors to be polite. or something idk how it really worked but cute hats go hard and i loooove big elaborate ones... yes... let us put gaudy adornments on our heads and be the birds we were always meant to be... i am a Hat Warrior.

I’m like. Lolita light? lolita adjacent? a lot of stuff I have are secondhand either from conventions or lacemarket and not really much for full coords. I maybe get like A jsk and either a bodice or a skirt or an accessory like once a yeah lmao. I also tend to look for more indie stuff from China like PumpkinCat because they have some really cute prints and Ive yet to run into any quality problems (I know I will someday tho lol) yet people will list them on lacemarket for even less then what you’d get for wrestling with taobao!!! I really like a lot of sweet lolita themes like with animals and cakes and such but I also have some more neutral classic lolita things…

I’d post pics but I have to dig for them lol. I don’t get the chance to dress up often it’s usually work uniform and then “too tired to do anything” XP

re: wolfkitty42 that indeed is the fabled azzypants dress (the actual real dress isn't really lolita, but people tend to draw it with the correct silhouette when they draw the azpt girl so it counts in my heart)

I quite enj9y many 9f the masculine c9unterparts t9 this style (such as fantastical 6utler 9utfits). It is 96vi9usly imp9rtant t9 address the s9cietal implications 6ut it is 6y n9 means a 6ad style and sh9uld n9t 6e c9nsidered as such.

I've been into Lolita for years! Unfortunately my collection of all my coords is in a box in storage since we needed the room in our new apartment, but I absolutely adore the fashion style. I thought I was done with it but in packing it all away I realized I still have such a close connection to those dresses and I really hope once we're out of our current living situation that I'll be able to wear it again.

I'm a little basic in that I'm generally a sweet Lolita wearer, but I just love the colors so much I can't help it. 😭 I have one or two gothic coords, which I may lean into more when I revisit it, but for the time being I miss my sweet dresses so much.

This is a really old photo (and the scribbles are really just to block out the mess that was my room at the time) but it's still one of my favorite coords and one of my favorite dresses.
