i wish they did more with AAside, (i would've loved seeing hagumi's brother in a band there, she mentions her older brother teaching her bass in early bandori and that never went anywhere), i think they messed up when they tried moving away from the bandori branding

Hello my mutual from Tumblr dot com. Bandori has been a special interest of mine since 2019, it means so fucking much to me, and I've been unbelievably happy to see the hype and support it's been receiving in recent years from the MyGO and Ave Mujica animes. Maya Yamato will always be my specialest girl forever and I think it says a lot about me that I associate her with Jake English heavily. I agree with your Dirk Strider Sakiko propaganda.

i do love a good sakiko! tomori is probably my favorite protag and avemygo objectively does have the best writing, but bandori season 3 can't be topped in my heart. the finale when they're all singing together was too good.... also season 1 and the beginning of homestuck are sort of similar if you think about it.. they both get skipped over frequently but have some really fun bits in them. at this point im just talking about my favorite parts of each season but i think a lot about the determination symphony scene with tae in season 2. poor girl....

im also really looking forward to chu2 interacting with avemuji.. she'll go crazy

i found season 1's artstyle a bit jarring with how they switched between 2d and 3d, they got much better at mixing the two effectively over time haha

popipa's origin story is very sweet and i'm always happy to see the owner show up again, she's kind of badass (figuring out that the carpark where raana hangs out in avemygo was so AUGH)

also shoutout to my girls morfonica, they got hardly any screentime in the anime 😭 they walked so avemygo can run and they only got to appear properly in a 2 episode ova

also i feel obligated to mention yukiran kismesitude propaganda, (moca ❤️ ran ♠️ yukina ❤️ lisa, moca ♦️ lisa and lisa ♣️ yukiran, btw if you're curious about other quadrants), kyouen red x violet is literally about how they're predestined rivals and since yukina and ran write the lyrics for their bands they're the ones who wrote it

one day i'll make a video essay comparing sakiko to dirk istg, but i think i'm waiting to see season 3 of avemygo first, to have more sakiko material

yeah it was an adjustment! they've gotten so much better at it though it's crazy to go back to season two and see the difference.
i looove raana for that reason, and it makes me rly happy that the space staff still pop up from time to time. it's so funny to see how everyone just kinda rolls with her kitty style as well LOL.

morfonication was SO fun i do wish they'd gotten more spotlight :( they were really cute in poppin dream but they deserve a proper season too! i think they lost out on some appreciation because they came before ras was added to the game and it's sad because they're awesome!

HUUUGE BRAIN on the afterglow roselia quadrants.. yukiran and yukilisa are my two best friends of course they can kiss troll style! i looove kyouen redxviolet and you're SO right it fits into that perfectly. i know they've kinda been doing them with the covers recently but i wish they'd do more band crossover songs because they're always so cute. rashapeople went triple platinum in my brain LOL

yeah, morfonica was added when everyone was already hyped up for the ras addition, so they just immediately decided the morfs are "boring" or whatever? sucks to be them ig but i'm not immune to violin in modern music xd and i genuinely think that they were testing the waters on how the audience would respond to the more serious themes of trauma and mental illness (nanami's feelings of exclusion that make it hard to talk about her passions, and mashiro clearly dealing with a depressive episode in morfonication come to mind), avemygo would not have been what it is

rashapeople was such a random teamup and it's such an interesting character dynamic we don't get to see too often

i think hagumi and masuki's friendship has so much potential, from the bridal prep and battle of R event stories; i thought it was super cute how masuki started trying to call her hagumin :)

also talking of crossover songs, shoutout circle thanks music, the 5th anni ova was so good and i still get emotional about the song

EXACTLYYYYY! i do also really love that avemygo incorporated aspects of betadori (kasumi being more depressed and the theme of the band being a "game" of sorts specifically) because it feels so full circle...

i remember people were being so rude to mashiro's va when morfonica was first introduced, it was awful :( she has such a great voice and it was so sad to see people hating on her when they had like two songs (both bangers as well like come on). and she was fifteen at the time too????

i really need to get back into the stories ive not read either of those T_T i think i fell off somewhere around when the hhw charlotte arc was starting? someday i'll catch up...

when the violin hits in circle thanks music... my favorite crossover song of all time though is probably you're not alone, it's just so catchy to me

the mixing of her vocals for the first couple of songs was a bit rough maybe but like, their songs are so good !! i heard the first one and immediately decided they were my fav band (until ave mujica showed up)

also, idk if you've seen but they're making a new chibi style anime that seems to also be including the vtubers, i'm kinda looking forward to seeing them in a piece of media with the rest (them just being streamers makes it hard to classpect them ...) (<- classpected all the bandoris a while back)
