so 1 thing thats kind of weird in deltarune is that they celebrate christmas. rudy says Krismas in reference to kris, and the entire holiday family is basically christmas themed all year round. but even though the hometown religion is really similar to Christianity in terms of customs, the fact that they believe the prophecy throws it off. you could obviously just see it as toby fox being raised christian, so his fictional religion is gonna end up being pseudo-christian, even if not on purpose. but what if the hometown religion is some niche offshoot, like MORMONS? if they were their own thing, i think toby would be able to create something at least with a different name than christmas, so they must believe in deltarune jesus. what else is based on christianity but adds a whole different book that completely changes it? MORMONISM. another mormon thing is that good mormons arent rewarded with heaven, but their own planet to rule over as a god. think about it. could the creator of the fountain be considered the god of a dark fountain? i mean, darkners are much weaker than lightners, and lightners can take objects into the fountain as a sort of "creation". now this is probably not intentional, just thought it was neat.
