now that deltarune only has 2 chapters left, i think its fair to be able to review it completeley.
plot
deltarunes plot is very intriguing, the whole knight mystery, the prophecy, and especially side b. my problem with it is that so much of it is hidden or vague, which was fine in the first 3 chapters, but now that we're 5 in and dont know anything beyond what the prophecy tells us, it feels kind of slow.

the characters i think are the most fleshed out part of deltarune. overall i think that the character development makes sense and is really well paced, letting 1 character really shine per chapter. in chapter 2 i thought ralsei was annoying, but i actually enjoy him now.

gameplay is pretty fun, but i think it can get really overshadowed in more character/plot driven moments, making some scenes really boring to replay. but when it does have gameplay focus, it is really good, like especially the platforming in 5.

music is like what people always love about deltarune, and while it does have a lot of really good songs, there is a lot of songs that are like 40 seconds long, use really cheap soundfonts, and overall aren't really something anybody would listen outside of their scene. but when the ost hits, it hits hard.

finally, secrets. this is one of the most iconic parts of deltarune, with 4/5 secret bosses really hitting. my only problem is some are just way too hard to find, especially if you weren't deep into the fandom. like the mantle game is infamously hard to find, but what really tropissed me off was the chapter 5 egg room. in chapter 3, egg man tells us where he's going, and i actually got the egg tutorial free in chapter 4. so then, in chapter 5, i followed his instructions to turn left at the wheat field and count down from 100, went to the wheat field in cliffs, and rammed into the left wall for 100 seconds expecting a timed event to show up. then, when i did that in every wheat field in the game and nothing worked, i gave up and used google, just to find out that clue with 100 counting was for the chapter 4 egg room, despite the order they were given in. i actually only did the 100 count in chapter 4 because in spamton sweepstakes there was a thing where you had to press the 100th window.
