did the pilot not get picked up

there hasn't been any news on it for like 5 months, fan response has been mostly negative, and the store tab on homestuck.com doesn't include the pilot merch anymore. it feels like the show just got abandoned, which is kind of disappointing, because while i do agree that the pilot was not a good adaptation and wouldn't work as a series on that same track, but i feel like a homestuck show would be really cool if they got it to actually work.
