I have only played New Vegas because my friend made me, but it was a very enjoyable game. I am now a diehard NCR fan, but Mr. House was kinda cool too. the dlcs (aside from honest hearts) great, and playing dead money is one of my favorite ever gaming experience. aside from new Vegas, the lore of the larger series is fascinating. unfortunately, my computer can’t run 3 or 4 so that’s probably as far as I’ll get. I did see the show, though

This is some straight up delirious biznasty, Dawg!!

@deliriousbiznasty

If you can rock with crpgs I highly recommend Fallout 1 & 2, amazing games and where a lot of the foundations of the setting are. Fallout 1 is a relatively small game, but 2 has a bunch of stuff that you actually see be expanded on in New Vegas.

That's it, I'm gonna do what I should have done a long time ago.

RE:AwSnapz404
nice to see another dead money fan, one of my favourite aspects of fallout is when it plays the horror & tragedy of it's world straight and dead money has that for DAYS. don't get me wrong i love the comedy of old world blues and the politics of lonesome road but something about father elijah last words if you tarp him in the vault or sinclair's heartfelt message to Keyes.
To follow up on what Raffy said if you wish to play 1&2 there are some good ways of doing that
i suggest following the vid "THE BEST Mods for Fallout 1 & 2 | Ultimate Modding Guide" by Kelphelp and due to these games being older then i am get them on GOG

I fucking love fallout, but Im the pretentious fan that likes 1+2 and new vegas. Has anyone here heard about fallout london? I havent played it (I refuse to touch fallout 4 after having dicked around with it for a few hours and going "this isnt what I come to fallout for") but Ive heard really good things from it.

i was introduced to fallout 4 first and later discovered other games. I mostly play FO4 like sims but with settlements...

Right now im 3/5? trough New Vegas (including DLCs). Saved DLCs almost until the end and decided to play in this order: HH -> OWB -> DM -> Lonesome Road. Honest Hearts are huge disappointment. Can't wait to start Dead Money but I've heard that people either love it or hate it, lmao.

I checked fallout show as well (mixed feelings, but i mostly liked show) and i have read entire Fallout: Equestria (i recommend it!)

I'm kinda curious, what made Honest Hearts disappointing for you? That's not really an opinion I see a lot these days so I'm genuinely interested in what your thoughts are about it.

That's it, I'm gonna do what I should have done a long time ago.

HH was disappointing for me also. Everything I heard about the dlc was that Joshua was the best part of the game, and honestly he just didn't live up to the hype. The scenery was fun to explore and I remember enjoying the quests but the story and the roleplay fell short for me. Also the whole plot felt a bit white saviory and that put a sour taste in my mouth.

to Raffy:

HH is a poorly executed story, that plays in bunch of stereotypes (Native-coded tribes Sorrows & Dead Horses and their enemy, White Legs, are introduced in dichotomy of Noble-Ignoble Savages, NPCs Joshua Graham and Daniel are White Saviors, etc). A lot of missed opportunities, like game doesn't really explores how Native communities could survive ~200 years and probably even prosper, considering that Zion Canyon wasn't bombed and living conditions there are generally better than in the rest of the wastelands. Instead, we encounter tribes that are nearly extinct, two of them led by white mormons.

In the DLC there's no questioning Daniels christian beliefs, while he doubts Sorrow's tribe belief in Father in the Caves (following the side story, we can learn that he was a real person, but can't communicate Daniel abt it nor tell the Sorrows). We also can't confront Joshua with the fact that he is still a Legionnaire at heart and has a black-and-white morale. The endings of HH is not varied in options for tribes, so depending on your actions they will either assimilate with New Canaanites, leave their ancestral land, or extinct...

That's why HH feels half-baked for me :\ Another reason to play HH first of all DLCs, its easy & you could forget it after finishing. Still makes me mourn potential tho, Josh Sawyer is not above criticism for this DLC.

Totally agree! I just wanted to see your take on it, I think people get caught up super hard on the "cool factor" of Joshua Graham when Honest Hearts has a lot of the same issues the other New Vegas DLCs do, a lot of ideas that could have been done very interestingly but fail to due to time or development issues or just standard poor execution.

I think you might find it interesting to see what Josh Sawyer has said about it after release, the wiki has some quotes from his Tumblr here: https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Honest_Hearts#Developer_quotes

That's it, I'm gonna do what I should have done a long time ago.

Rottenbones PLEASE say something once you finish the other dlcs. I played OWBs first and I LOVED it, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on it, and I think thats the dlc that you're currently on.

oh hey, perfect timing! i started playing new vegas a couple days ago (semi heavily modded, with fallout who vegas - im planning on adding a couple more mods, like the mikeburnfire related ones). i'm currently just after ring a ding ding (i couldn't find benny LMAO) and i could pursue any of the four routes. i'm wanting to get some minor faction sidequests done i just don't know where to start. i DO plan on either going ncr or independent however. fuck the legion

"Lalonde" - Even her name sounds like a wine brand.

FUCK the legion!!! I had the exact same thoughts as you did when I first opened up fnv and played through the game Mike, I couldn't decide on if I wanted to go with NCR or Wild Card. I settled on wildcard personally (mostly because my thought was 'if the ncr had so many problems that I had to fix before Im happy with putting them in charge, theres a chance they can backslide back to having these problems').

to Kit Kitthrin (@missmonkeymode):
you right, i'm currently on OWB :D I'm a little lost in the lore (need to reread some dialogues) because i play with long breaks, but I liked this DLC so far, story and gameplay-wise. Surprisingly very horny DLC, but i don't mind. Excited of all these hints and references to Sierra Madre and its inhabitants...
I know OWB was planned as a more humorous DLC, and i think this greatly combines with how sinister Big MT really is with its long-isolated eccentric scientists, and centuries of unethical experiments (paralleling Vault-Tec). I think I will formulate more coherent opinion about OWB when I finish it.
