I hate to come in and immediately echo the first opinion shared, but I also have to say Aradia. I find her change from emptily going through the motions of what she knows needs to happen to becoming fully in charge of her perception of the world and being able to enjoy life once she stops being emotionally dead. This is obviously not very subtle given that she also literally goes from dead to alive, but it still really works for me. I also just find her personality very entertaining and enjoy all of her dialogue.

my favorite is rose! she uses knitting needles as a weapon! what more could you want?

i also have a soft spot for terezi and calliope

Vriska, Gamzee, Terezi, Rose, Karkat, Jade, Dave. In a particular order lmfao I love so many characters but I think these are genuinely the most compelling.

right now, vriska, jane, rose, damara, calliope, alt-calliope, terezi, aranea, meulin, and yiffy. and i'm certain the ly'lac stocks are going to the fucking moon, so i'm investing now.

okay i forgot how outdated the character sorter was so i took my results and edited them into a tier list of my favorites. all of these are categorized in the "S" tier, they're just like subcategorized beyond that lol

as i said from the get go I really fucking love a lot of the cast but those are probably like... My Favorites. I might gush more specifically about some of them in a later post idk yet

My favorite has always been Karkat and Kanaya, just because I've always related to each of them and their struggles the most. I think they are both some of the most relatable characters in the comic when it comes to maintaining relationships or not really being in one at all, and getting into one for the first time. One of my favorite Karkat conversations is actually when he's talking to Terezi during the walk-a-around Dancestor portion after she meets Latula for the first time and is like "Wow, my Ancestor is so much fucking cooler than me :/ I haven't accomplished much of anything in comparison..." and Karkat is like "Bro wtf are you talking about please stop comparing yourself to a dead girl you just met, you're better than you realize that's just your insecurity speaking and also you're like my best friend I will not believe you're worse than someone else."

I liked it because Karkat has always been one of the trolls that are significantly weaker than the others, but he's still hung around anyway, just because he cares a lot about the others and maintaining a good relationship with all of his friends. He's not the best at other relationships or Quadrants, but he's literally one of the best friends I think any of them could have asked for, and I think that making him THE friendship troll was the best choice that they remembered, even during the whole Epilogues situation lol.

And Kanaya's struggle of wanting to be in a relationship where she's not someone who has to coddle and help two other people, and then choosing Rose because, for the first time, she's someone else's equal, and not being put in this "mothering" role was also really relatable. I feel like what makes her so great is that she's someone who's a lot stronger on her own and who can make good decisions when she's not inundated by the need to enable other people's bad habits and wants. She's a person who's capable of so much more than just being "The Mom Friend," like being an actual good leader. My favorite Kanaya moment was actually when she knocked Karkat out after they left Echidna lol, because she knew letting him fight would've resulted in him just dying in the end like last time, so she decided to not enable his want to prove himself in battle or whatever and protect him.

I always liked their friendship in Beyond Canon because in the end they're the last two Trolls from the original group who are still dealing with the rest of the world, and sure that sounds awful but I think that's for the best and that its something they'd both want because they wouldn't want their friends actually to have to deal with a whole war. I mean, Sollux calls Karkat up for food (lmao) and Karkat is more annoyed that he's calling during an active battle than that Sollux isn't "helping" out or whatever T_T.

My absolute favorites are Terezi, Meenah, and perhaps above all, Karkat. I think about them a lot.

Aradia, Nepeta, Equius, and Roxy are the ones that immediately come to mind. Also a big fan of PM and WV! And the agents/midnight crew + felt in general, honestly.

Karkat is also up in my faves & I want more from Sollux in beyond canon even if he doesn't wanna be part of things.

my all time favorite is aradia, sollux is like an honorary favorite just to keep her company, then roxy and like karkat. idk nobody does it like aradia she’s just peak at every opportunity

my favorite character is dirk! (specifically, dirk from homestuck proper, not beyond canon/epilogues. they are essentially two different characters haha...)

he's socially awkward and i enjoy it. i always saw a lot of autism in dirk

i also really enjoy the moments where his coolbro facade falls away and he's sort of stressed out and cringy

At the present moment, Davepeta, Aradia, Vriska, Yiffy, and Dirk. Candy!Rose is also real as hell, and I'm putting my life savings on auguryAside.

caliborn, jade, eridan, jane, and vriska to a certain extent.

caliborn: he's a very endearing character, he's so violently himself, he's funny, and his gun is pretty badass. i aspire to be like him.

jade: she warms my heart, her powers are cool, she's very adorable. also she uses guns. her isolation from the rest of civilization and her kooky technology and her island home sold her for me.

eridan: my premier favorite, violent and emotional. i have an affinity for him because i relate to him greatly (sans intimate relationship problems, for i lack those), he carried murderstuck for me.

jane: she's cute, teehee!

vriska: a character so divisive yet was needed to win the game. hate her if you must but never forget that all of it would be for naught if not for her.
