Detective Pony (https://archiveofourown.org/works/2427119/chapters/5371283) and The Serendipity Gospels (https://archiveofourown.org/works/335176/chapters/541856) are fandom classics but i'll rec them here anyway

i also really love Vinbre the Novel (https://archiveofourown.org/works/31830013/chapters/78803398) bc its worldbuilding and characters are incredible!!

and Modern Cannibals (https://archiveofourown.org/works/10619448/chapters/23486718) is less a Homestuck Fic and more a Fic About Homestuck but it's REAL good and heartwrenching. it is a Very heavy read however and that T rating is misleading, it's much closer to M.

All of Undas Homestuck works are amazing. Alternate Universe (my personal favorite of their stuff) (https://archiveofourown.org/works/22551601) is set in a world of magic, Karkats the main protagonist and narrator (though Rose also narrates where Karkat is unable). Features Black Karsol, Red Davekat, Pale Davesol, and pale Karkat/Rose (which works way better than you might think). The romance is written really well, it has June, Jade, Kanaya (rosemary is in the background), a really cool library, demons, witches, fae, and so on.

Thirteen and a Half Mixtapes (https://archiveofourown.org/works/5615899) Is a davekat fic featuring Dave sending Karkat on a scavenger hunt all across the town they live in. Heavily features Nepeta/Terezi.

Herding Cats (https://archiveofourown.org/works/349720) is basically ship em all, all the beta trolls get shipped, and its actually a really good read. Too many ships to really tell you, but none of them feel out of place.

Lastly I want to mention Tartarus 5 (https://archiveofourown.org/works/38229085) which is entirely original, basically all of these god tiers are doomed and have to go into a battle royal to determine which of them gets a second chance. Of course, this features some cool classpect powers, and is generally really cool with just original characters. Ongoing with semi-frequent updates.

duck and cover (https://archiveofourown.org/works/60357793) by archaghoul- a postcanon world where everything basically resets, though with all of the victors coming out on the other side (i forget what happens to the trolls but idk). all or most of the kids are slightly affected by their bodies attempting to handle their powers again!! includes: dirk and hal sharing a body (read it to understand), dirkjohn <3333, and jane not being racist!

Because Anything Could Happen (https://archiveofourown.org/works/58188181) by SemaphoricWave- alt outcome of meteorstuck where eridan and vriska both survive from the get-go, karkat’s blood powers actually being used + him getting glasses i think, and a slightly less bleak outlook on life

In Which John Egbert Is Allowed To Feel Rage For Once In His Life (https://archiveofourown.org/works/60124936) by bewarethepurpleone- basically. in order to prevent the epilogues/hs2 from happening, john agrees to work with alt!calliope to gradually “correct” the universes— by turning everyone into trolls through shenanigans on beforus. i dont know how that works. but it’s really good! the body horror aspect is handled quite well, as are some of the hangups over an ENTIRE species change.

Reallocated (https://archiveofourown.org/works/32890642) by BreezefulSkies- tales from a doomed timeline in which Hal is sent down to earth alongside baby dave! sort of a found family, little bit of body horror mixed in but for a good cause, dave being absolutely adorable, mild lobotomization, etc etc… (another good fic by the same author is Devaluated! I won’t go into detail but it’s absolutely heart wrenching if you’re a dirk fan.)

aaaand Choices, Optimism, and Deviation (https://archiveofourown.org/works/55092994) by 09Pyros_09Hydros- where a mspareader gets isekai’d into the body of eridan! that’s the premise!
