I'm really close to finishing Homestuck, and I plan on doing just that tonight. I'm on my bed, I've got some tea beside me, have a candle to the left of me, am wearing some very comfy clothes, am about 200 pages away from finishing Homestuck.

I just read through the next few pages, and honestly, I don't know why people hate this part so much. I think part 4 is one of the best parts of the entire comic.

I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but the part in [S] Terezi: Remem8er. where she turns into a ghost and looks down at her blood was a cool callback to when Dave looked down at the blood of his dead self on his hands.

current thoughts: The final sight of the doomed timeline Calliope was pretty cool to read through! most people probably thought it was dumb, but I thought the reveal/retcon that robo spades eye actually works was funny. one thing I hate, but happened before this is the fact Tavros just showed up with an army, barely got credited for it, then gave it to Meenah.

current thoughts: the cinematic was absolutely amazing, and a lot of the references were super fun! I am a bit disappointed cause I expected this to be everything it could be, but there was some wasted potential. I think the thing I really wanted to see was the condesce controlling Jade, but she just died, and the only thing they show you is her getting stabbed! I don't even know who did it, cause that wasn't shown! (or maybe it was and I just missed it cause so much stuff was happening, it was sorta hard to keep up). The other battles definitely weren't lacking in the slightest, and they were all very exciting. I just feel like some of them could've had just a slight bit more meat.

I'm one page (I think) from the end of something I've been reading for about 1.5/2 years! This is honestly some of the best shit I've ever read, and I really wish I grew up during its peak, but sadly, I'm growing up in the 20's :/. This is probably my favorite piece of media, and I've consumed some pretty great creations in Western culture, so that's a pretty good feat (not that its anything compared to everything AH has done). I am so ready to FINISH THIS SHIT.
I feel like I'm being overly hyped, and its coming off as cringe, but whatever! I fucking LOVE being cringe, and I'm not afraid to say it!!!

Everything that happened with Caliborn/lord english was really confusing. It also felt sorta anticlimactic, even though it's what the entirety of Homestuck is leading up to. Maybe it just went over my head tho, cause other people seemed to have interpreted it well? idk. if anyone wants to offer their knowledge on it, be my guest. Anyway; it was really good! The Snapchat thing for the credits was sort of a weird choice, but every other thing that happens in Homestuck is a questionable choice, so why tf would I care lmao.
Now I can say I finished Homestuck before the anime, so yay!!! >:))))

the ending IS confusing as hell i think the whole thing was that the kids didnt defeat caliborn, instead they escaped the alpha timeline to be in the disconnected new universe just to properly emphasize how theyre finally free or some shit, homestuck is one big time loop and killing caliborn resets it so by NOT doing that theyre functionally escaping the narrative that has been so horrible to them for 8000 pages. theyre not stuck at home anymore idk man im rusty on the lore

in regards to lord english: yeah, not being able to see him die in the actual comic is kind of "the point." i'd rant about it, but it's kinda spoilers for later stuff.
I decided to take a quick look at the epilogues before going to bed, and all the content warnings had me dying laughing cause of how morbid they seem. I also thought it was really funny that 'furry' was a content warning lmao.
Congrats on finishing the webcomic that is larger than the Bible itself. Epilogues are pretty fun, but I'm also used to intense subjects like what was depicted; so, I hope they bring you joy too in your presumed hyperfixation. In the very least, it's more Homestuck for you to consume. 💜
