first forums ever

Forums are where the heart is!

i used to roleplay on forums exactly like this one on Fanfiction.net so it's kind of like reliving my childhood. I was never on the old MSPA forums though </3

oh man its so weird i remember doing the same thing but with steam multiplayer roleplay forums on starbound and terraria, instead of rpings in the forums youd make in game characters but its kind of the same thing

my first forum too and honestly this is fucking awesome i can see why people loved this back in the day, like imagine this in FULL swing. it'd be cray cray

i hang out in the forum games, maybe theyll add those here............. i do miss it, last one i was in was in chickensmoothie and neopets(<-- The forums there SUCK) x)

I've lurked around in a couple forums but this is my first time being an active user, it's really fun!

forums r such a breath of fresh air. discord servers r usually just too much... nowadays i use discord 4 either one-on-one talk or some rare use-cases where it being in that format helps the communication

it's quite simple compared to other forums, but i suppose it will develop further from here.

oh i wholeheartedly agree discord servers (specially big ones) are always just kind of so.. hostile?? idk how to explain but it's always just the oldhead members talking in #general and completely ignoring you, if you aren't in their bubble it's like u don't even exist

welcome to forums then!! Theyre still in beta so I HOPE they add more features that most forums have (seriously, how are hyperlinks and replies/tags not a thing?).

Agreed forums are so much cooler than disc, i kinda prefer it small tho it's nice recongnising ppl and stuff, but yeah way better vibes since its not just one small friend group that ignores u lol

Discord servers are real neat for growing specific communities but in turn makes it really hard to let people casually integrate themselves. I want to think it's more than just nostalgia making me so excited to see a forum running again. It lets people casually start and engage with topics as they please, or look up information and opinions, or even just browse a place without having to slip into any otherwise private or closed-off communities/hubs - and unlike how social media accomplishes that, there's no weird algorithms you have to fight just to be seen, or pressure to make your posts eye-catching. I've missed just getting to converse with people this way!
