idk if i spoke to anyone here at nycstuck, im kinda shy but i was dressed as jade and handing out qr codes that linked to an amv i just made! (here is a shameless link, i guesshere is a shameless link, i guess. since im mentioning it. youtube has no discoverability anymore :P) even if people didnt follow my link (im not sure i would have, random qr codes are scary lol) but most people seemed to like the concept of amvs. so i wanted to make it easy for you all to make your own and upload my folder of flashes that i converted into videos to use! (i wanted to do this myself instead of downloading videos from youtube because i wanted to maintain the aspect ratios of the videos in the comic, and have them all at a consistent quality.)
basically i converted most flashes (most of the big ones. you know what i mean by this. stuff that would be good footage) to mp4 using adobe aftereffects, all in original aspect ratio (which varies between 650x450 or 950x650). i tried to get the highest bitrate i could without making everything too big, so theyre about 40mbps. made to be easily accessed in adobe premiere, but they should work in basically all editing software ? all of the videos are just the name of the .swf and i also described most of them or made it the page title! the only one thats different is the one that leads into the grimdark rose walkaround. since its a walkaround it doesnt export as a video properly so i had to screen record it and it ended up at a different ratio and also file type than everything else, but i thought it looked fine in my video so i didnt rerecord it (shrugs). i dont think there are any walkarounds other than that. also, none of them have sound! sorry. they're for making amvs, so you dont wanna have. sound. watch them somewhere else if u want sound. umm what else. oh yeah, theyre not in 1080p but i was able to export it as 1080p video for youtube with pretty good quality. and all of my gifs were from the unofficial homestuck collection, but you can also just download them from the website.
