Gio took their own down. Then phrased it to make it seem like they were made to. They got no sources, they got no evidence, they are just bitter becuz nobody wants to work with them I WONDER WHY

Stalked previous trans members of the team and made them feel unsafe, misgendering, has outright lied, presented his own opinion as fact, and held back critical information to make his own point. He's literally still doing that with these posts, as have been pointed out by Cami elsewhere. He also published people's personal addresses.

Anyway I'm already tired of all this drama but, seconding margot, Gio is not to be trusted, the Unofficial Collection is still up, probably just wait for people who actually have information to make a real statement, like what had to happen with the Hiveswap shit years ago. I'm gonna go take a walk or something, the amount of misinformation people are blindly parroting here is getting exhausting.

I personally don't think Gio is a transmisogynist, but I'd be willing to say I'm wrong about that. Regardless, I don't think there's any lies and any lies would be easily disprovable if they really mattered (similar to Gio's hiveswap posts which STILL have not ever been given very concrete reasons why they were meaningfully untrue). I don't think Gio fuckin like made up entire discord messages and those are pretty fucking damning. Everything he says about the HICU in his second blogpost today also lines up with my personal knowledge.

@abstractcourier Well for one they got no evidence of anything. Becuz Gio never has evidence of anything. Gio has hearsay, and speculation, and they are a very skillful writer, carefully choosing their words to imply things without outright saying them.

They have harassed the previous writers of Beyond Canon thru these means, and now seem to be directing their anger at HICU. Their newest article is worded to imply they got DMCA'd or something. That is not the case. Becuz as I write this, not only are any non-Gio forks of the UHC still up, GIO'S GITHUB FORK IS STILL UP. All of their "chatlog evidence" are not screenshots, but text recreations.

As for the transmisogyny? Call it transfemale intuition. That's a joke, it's actually based on a tendency on how they talk about trans creators, disregard for harassment campaigns which they've fed into, so on.

Bottomline is. Nobody important likes Gio anymore and refuse to work with them. And the they are pissed about it. So they write inflammatory articles implying "ahhh homestuck is so over guys" and then a buncha teens (no hate, been one) get really anxious and desperate and post about it like it's really happening, and then eventually there is so much noise people don't even know what's happening anymore.

As someone who's life for the past 5 years has been checking sources thoroughly, were I to grade Gio's article, I'd give it a D-. If I'm in a good day.

Like. If I, publicly, made stuff up about you, and provided no evidence of it. It's not on YOU the burden to the disprove that, it's on ME to prove it on the first place.

more on the original post than where the conversation's currently been steered, but its becoming tiring seeing people fearmonger that the collection is "gone forever." it may not be available where it used to be, but it still exists and can be found elsewhere. you can still download it onto your computer and use it. an offline application this downloaded cannot realistically be wiped out forever they way some people are acting like it has been.

Seeing the Homestuck subreddit melt down over Homestuck being gome disheartened me.

I join this fun new forum website ready to live laugh and love Homestuck with fellow fans and almost immediately it's blowing up over more HS Team drama. What else should I have expected honestly

looking over Gioks blogpost I really don’t. buy it. if you have incriminating Discord screenshots of threats sent to you…show them? don’t? recreate them in html/css? doing that just makes it all way less credible. Not to mention the way he’s insinuating everything Homestuck is all actually Hussie pulling the strings and like, everyone who works under him is a sock puppet.

@alexArtform playing devil's advocate regarding the recreating screenshots thing, I'm fairly certain this was just done for the sake of accessibility (like being able to copy/paste directly from the logs or for screen readers and stuff). If the implication is that they did it in this manner so they could fake dms they could have easily done that with screenshots too through inspect element.

I have a mirror available in case Gio deletes the GitHub repository as well. The page is a bit spartan since I just threw it together in 20 minutes but it's a working site with decent download speeds.

The Asset Pack is still waiting to be uploaded (it's about 15% as I write, 11% when i began writing) so that won't work right now, but everything else does.
