in fairness to myself i had no idea what gio's history was (and really *who* he was outside of the uhc) until my gf told me what she heard but idk what the excuse is for people much more involved in the fandom than i am

anyone has any sources on gio being a transphobic nazi? genuine question. i couldnt find anything on it by myself.

Gio loves to couch his shit in plausible deniability but this is the same guy who ran the entire hate campaign on Kate back in the day, curiously his targets seem to be mostly trans. As for being a Nazi the dude ran the HS discord and anyone who was in there for more than an hour knew exactly who the Nazi's were and they were just given free reign of the place effectively.

idk fully about the nazism aside from his reasoning for calling that one section "the gio question" but he repeatedly makes a point out of *only* using he/him for andrew hussie and referring to them as a man (they're, in some form, non-binary and use any pronouns)

wait he was behind that too? i knew there was an active effort to drive out kate mitchell but i was like 14 and didn't really grasp what the hell was happening there. doesn't surprise me that transphobia was the motivating factor there though

I remember when the HS official discord first happened (right after the second gio shitfit) like 20 of us had to go to the mods with receipts and be like 'These people are NAZIS you NEED to remove them'

re: Au'drey, Yes he was absolutely behind the Kate harassment campaign, it's not even a secret he's openly admitted to it.

@bralsra @notsoepick The nazism comes from the fact Gio named a section "The Gio-ish Problem" referencing "The Jewish Problem" which is a nazi dogwhistle. I think Gio removed all evidence of that being in his article but he said the reason why he titled his article like that was because he wanted to frame the situation like a Jewish person being percecuted by Nazis

I also feel the need to say like. I don't think Hussie is a saint, the guy is notoriously difficult to work with, but Gio trying to take out the union just because he has such a hate boner for them is insane. Fuck that guy.

Yeah that's just the immediate thing. Like I said though it was a very open thing that there were Nazi's in the HS unofficial discord. Sending HH pics was a thing people would do to 'troll' I had multiple different people send me swastikas in DM's for complaining about it. Mods didn't give a fuuuuuck.
