Homestuck simple questions & answers thread

this is always a fun idea. what are the rifraf to do if they just want a simple, sourced answer to a simple question they have about Homestuck that doesn't really fit into any existing thread but doesn't really warrant a thread of its own?

feel free to contribute both questions and answers :)
