Anyone know what version I need to get or use? I already have the mod downloaded and I think the version that was out before whatever happened (no don't rehash the drama in this thread idgaf about it and I'm too tired for all of that). The version I had was 2.5.7 seemingly.
My friend wants to catch up on the source material as much as possible before the cartoon pilot drops sometime this month. I was wondering if 1. is the official unofficial version compatible with it? 2. if not, what version and what link do I use to get the compatible one?
Is the bambosh one still compatible and mod managed by Jonaya? I know Jonaya seemed to be stepping away from Homestuck stuff kinda in general.
TLDR: Help me set up the Slur Replacer Mod without rehashing drama that I don't care to hear anything about basically. What link(s) and what version(s) do I need? THIS IS ABOUT ACCESSIBILITY, NOT DRAMA.
The easiest way to tell is just to try it. If it works, then you know it works.

In contrast with Jonaya's Slur Replacement mod, which tries to find suitable replacement words to fit the context, the linked Slur Removal mod just censors the slurs with asterisks. You could ask your friend which they would prefer.
i feel like it should work. i would install the mod, find a page you know for sure has a slur on it and check to see if the slur is still there. if it isn't, you're good to go.
The Asset Pack folder has another folder in it called "mods". You extract the ZIP there.
After that it should be as simple as going into the settings and dragging that into the "active" column. As far as I know this works on both Homestuck and Gio's versions of the UHC. Though I could be wrong, since I'm using an older version of Gio's UHC since the BCplayer mod broke over a year ago and Gio never fixed it (to be honest I have no idea what changes Homestuck even made to the thing).
