There was one, we pretty much just weren't allowed to talk in much detail about all the Fruity Rumpus stuff that you see right now. There's nothing I can think of that I'm not allowed to say in relation to this anymore, actually. Except that I'm not allowed to discuss Nacho Libre (2006).

I'm just generally curious about as much of the Frumpus shit as you're happy and willing to talk about; how were you approached? what's the actual deal? whats the cut? were you promised prosperity in exchange for your immortal soul? did you have to compete in a contest of fiddles against andrew hussie? are they paying you or is it just merch sales? is there a collective slush bucket or do you just get stuff related to your comic's merch?

What made you want to make SBURB.EXE? Do the characters looks have any significance to what you personally enjoy?
Also, a more selfish question, how was doing pixel surgery like?

Not entirely sure what pixel surgery means in this context! In any case the characters' appearances are just whatever I thought fits, but their personalities are all archetypes I've RPed at some point.

I did have some small ideas going in though, like "oh I want a guy with long hair" or "I want one of them to wear a huge bow on her head," and I did try making them all aesthetically pleasing to myself first and foremost. If I don't fuck with how a character looks then I'm not gonna feel like drawing them which is generally bad for a character in a comic.

How much is the story influenced by reader suggestions? How much is planned in advance?

Also, was PA being the first character to "speak" and yet being the only of Abby's chums yet to be seen intentional? There's so much tension there, waiting for her to show up, that it manages to fit the tone of the story really well. It's like a horror game. There's always the tension that the rich girl is just around the corner...

And finally, what made you decide to redesign the Sburb machines? It's a small thing, but it really helps to make the story feel fresh and unique when compared to all the other Sburb-ventures out there.

Adding onto lunkli's question, what made you decide to go for specifically cruxite records? Was it the way creepypastas always use reversed music? It's such an inspired replacement for dowels.

It is sure to be a moment signifying a great deal of newfound maturity and character development. Now I ask you this: Do you think she will live long enough for that to happen?

He liked him when he was a little younger but his opinion's been sullied by DeviantArt Sonic fanart. Now he finds the whole franchise to be ontologically perverse.

Some of the small ideas that would eventually be used in sburb.exe have been thought of a decade ago. As a truly coherent plot, I came up with it in 2022 and started the comic a couple months after.

Lukehearst wasn't always going to be his name, but naming him was always going to be some kind of break from established rules and patterns in some way! I thought of a character being a -Hearst while deliriously tired in the army and I think Luke just kind of fit cause A) He has the largest household in the cast (thus various -Hearsts) and B) It's a perfect way to not let the gag idea go. There's also a secret carapacian related C).

I owe the idea to our own Victoria of Burning Down The House Fame, who suggested it in my (now defunct) idea dumpster channel on MSPFAcord. Luke was supposed to own multiple vinyls, so I thought, hey, what if this douchebag is just Naturally Good At Alchemy Then. Also the idea of alchemizing items corresponding to real albums I (and Luke) listen to was immediately appealing to me!

And as you mentioned, vinyls can also be made to play backwards with interesting ramifications.

◇ how do you decide what commands get used in sburb.exe? do you choose the ones that most align with how you want the story to go? i feel like there's been less silly ones lately. :p

◇ do you feel anything about the spirit of sburb.exe has changed ever since you started the comic? what was your favorite era to be working on the comic?

◇ any gag you feel is your favorite thus far / favorite page drawn or published thus far?
