HSBC Omega Kids Classpect discussion!

I'm a rage Tavvy truther personally, but these are interesting picks! 💜

I've also noticed that a lot of people class type Harry as thief which is very interesting to me. I usually see thief of time, but I'm curious about your reasoning for each, if you'd like to dive into those.

I like your classpects for the omega kids. I keep going back and forth on a couple of them.

My initial thoughts were:

Yiffy - Thief of Rage

Tavros - Bard of Doom

Harry - Mage of Mind

Vrissy - Sylph of Blood

Most of these are just my own intuitions. I think the thief class is women specific but don't quote me on that. I am also a Yiffy rage player truther but I wouldn't be surprised if Tavros ended up being the rage player because Homestuck just likes to subvert expectations.

I also like trying to fill the gaps in the human session:

I like Yiffy as a Rage player, I usually specifically go for Sylph of Rage, but the class is literally just "It'd be funny if she shared my classpect" so I'm less married to it than just Rage

Tavvy I'm pretty attached to Bard of Blood, I think given that Blood can stand for blood ties specifically in idioms/Bard as destroyer would be a really clever way to reframe Bard as positive through "Tavvy gets out of his family"

I would like Vrissy as Thief of Mind (Vrisrezi classpect, if we also see rose as having vrisrezi classpect then she would be rose's inverse) but that would leave Harry as mage of doom, which doesn't really work

Considering that when we see the dancestors they have the same aspect as the main trolls, I think it's fair to say that Vrissy's aspect will still be Light.

I think, to reflect that she is in many ways a less selfish version of Vriska, that she shares the spotlight she steals with others, it would be cool with she was a Rogue of Light.

I'm not really too sure on the others, but I think Yiffy will probably be a time player, given her personality of acting first which is pretty typical of time players, and I'm pretty drawn to Tavvy as a Rage player, as a reflection of both Gamzee and Jake.

It would be so crazy to me if Vrissy wasn't a Hero of Light. Like, I get why people are expecting her to be other things. I'll even get it if the story gives her another aspect. But why would they make the aspects such an intrinsic part of the troll symbol lore in the Extended Zodiac only for Vrissy to then NOT follow the aspect troll symbol lore... do they hate me? WHY ARE THEY FUCKING WITH ME PERSONALLY

Pushing my anti "round out the human classpects" knight or thief of breath or (way less sure on class for this aspect) witch or maid??? of void Yiffy theory

as for tavvy idk how much i'm being blinded by the name and his parent but i definitely get strong page vibes off him. rage could suit him well I think but also I'm not too deeply invested in any specific aspect for tavvy the most real speculation I've done for him is thinking he's deeply transfeminine

idk a class for harry but given his interest in performance and fashion I could see him as either mind or space

light honestly feels like a safe bet for vrissy but if I had to take a stab at an off the wall guess I feel is at least semi-plausible maybe *blood*? or life? for blood because she's like the main connection point for the candy kids, tavvy and harry are dating her and yiffy is her sister. then for both blood and life there's the fact that she's kind of been raised from birth as a sort of heiress to vriska's legacy which would parallel karkat with the signless and all the life players we know of with their respective ancestors, but also i feel being a blood or life player would both be a pretty decent thematic reason for why she can manipul8 humans with her psychic abilities.

i definitely support Rage Yiffy
as for class i think Heir would be fun tbh tho i also think Yiffy'll have a more active class

i do think Vrissy should still be Light, since vriskas her ancestor (even if not ectocloned this time)
i could see Maid of Light for her

i also think Maid would be a good class for Tavros as well, i am not really decided on any aspect i see for him yet tho

Harry very easily could go Space but i could also see Heart or Mind for him

I did just see a post that persuaded me a bit towards rage yiffy but I still don't necessarily buy the "rounding out the human classpects" theory yet and probably wont unless it becomes painfully obvious

i'm hesitant on the Omegas filling in the gaps because Ly'lac is just *so* Doom coded...but I do think some will have some of the "unused" ones. Vrissy is very Thief of Mind to me (her mind-control powers work differently than Vriska's (she can affect humans far better than Vriska can), she quite literally makes the choice for Harry to go with Vriska off of Earth C). I *really* want Tavvy to be Rage, that would be an interesting line to draw between him and "Uncle Gamzee". There's that one line where something rises up in his chest, but he chooses *not* to call it fear, and like...hrmmm...could be Rage...

Harry I really have no clue on. He's sitting on a lot of potential Aspect pathways, he could be Space, he could be Heart, but I'm gonna go with Blood for him purely because it would be an interesting opposite from his father, and he is such a worrier. Vrissy doesn't message him back and he goes into full-blown panic mode. Vrissy calls his parents shitty, and he *defends* his parents, including his father who IS shitty!! And Yiffy definitely has a lot of Rage theming to her (that little speech she gets before sneaking into the vents), but I think we really need to see more of her to get a better grasp.

I really hope we get to see the other kids rooms at some point, so we can just learn more about their interests/personalities beyond their relations to their parents.
