Seems 100% likely. I kind of hope we spend more time on it than Vriska got, this much anticipated story development deserves a lot of attention and care.

I would 100% take a june visual novel that runs longer than the vrisual novel did. I think it would be cool and good getting sprites of june slowly feminizing over the course of it. Make it practically a reader's guide to june. Have her relive her vriskafication arc from act 5.

I think we could even maybe have her interact with a ghost of herself that did transition after dying.

I think that would be a very interesting one to take that direction with.

I think it would be interesting in an "all roads lead to june" kinda way

I like that idea as a way to get around the stipulation of only one John, if all of them become June then they don't gotta double die. (I mean game logic wise not personhood wise.)

I would figure that the Point itself going boom boom is what has hastened the black hole's collapse. I guess I can imagine that being remedied by replacing the machine, but I can't imagine hs2 going down any kind of "thankfully the parts for another juju were lying around" route at this stage

i would probably consider it a straight up disservice to her character/character arc if he'll get there before EARLIEST halfway through the whole HSBC plot

i absolutely do hope that she'll get there eventually, simply bc it was indeed long since coming
but... he's literally dodging responsibility/commitment again rn just as when he was a teen

when we DO get there at some point tho i do hope Roxy and Rose will be very involved in picking her psyche free from places to hide that introspection away

what i hope doesnt happen (and i dont think it will but yaknow) is that Dirk gets to pull a "haha destroy your sense of self" and she puts herself together as June again
i feel that would be a bit of a cop-out and uhhhh kinda transphobic too probably

my personal headcanon is honestly also that as Heir of Breath (Incarnation of Freedom/Formlessness) there is any and every flavour of queer and nonqueer in the infinite timelines of J Egbert, and none of them are lies
but i do also agree that the alpha timeline (if that even is still applicable) gotta end in June

this is personal thoughts abt it but honestly I don't think rose would have anything to do with june realizing she's trans. IMO a big thing about rose's psychoanalysis is that its not like, actual therapy or psychology its pop psychology interpretations of freudian psychology. I think much like her failing to predict vriska helltiering she also is probably a bit too wrapped up in her own predictions and conceptions of a "canon" timeline that she wouldn't see june coming either. That's just my reading of the character.

I figure roxy would probably be the most likely to really try and get june to crack her egg of anyone still in candy, but honestly I think the people most likely to succeed at cracking her egg are currently both in meat (vriska and terezi).

That's why I think if she doesn't come to the realization on her own somehow before leaving candy the only way she's gonna figure it out before leaving is some time in the hyperbolic therapy chamber plot point if that's even possible still.

(I think it probably will be possible and we will have helltier june but thats neither here nor there)

I think it was in the thread about beyond canon not getting the vriska fundamentals where someone said something about not being too sure about helltiering being officially a marker of personal growth and comparing it to training arcs in stuff like shonen series but I think the difference between those/normal sburb echeladders and the hell tiers in the plot point is that in those shonen training arcs and with the sburb echeladders (and god tiers) they are usually having the characters perform feats to get physically stronger and more powerful, and narratively tying that to a nebulous "personal growth", whereas no feats of strength or will could make vriska descend the helltiers, she had to learn a lesson and actually internalize it each step of the way, and it was only at the end that she was rewarded with the power. It still remains to be determined if she truly did grow but I think at the moment its writing it off a little too strongly to assume that helltiering/plot point therapy is actually also just another bullshit marker of growth like shonen training arcs or sburb's definition of growing up
