Homestuck is not just my favorite comic, but one of my all time favorite stories. It has touched me emotionally and changed how I view art and creation ^v^

i love homestuck too also umineko but i'm not done with that one yet

same for me as well! the only other thing comparable to it in that regard for me is umineko

I love this comic so much. Despite it's many flaws, it is still one of my favorite things ever.

I've been wanting to get around to Umineko actually since I found out that the writer of that is writing Silent Hill f! It def seems like one of those works that really draws people in deep

it's kind of japanese homestuck, i think they have a lot of thematic commonalities

homestuck and umineko are both identical in the most important way which is that you will never be able to look at any other story ever without comparing it to them

well i can confidently say that even though all of umineko is excellent you haven't even gotten to the best stuff in umineko you're in for peak fiction

i don't knowwww.... this "beyond canon" stuff is pretty good wait post cancelled i need to make an hsbc fan userbar right now.

i'm kinda getting the reverse duck buster treatment because i got all my friends into homestuck and now i'm like the last one to read umineko

I'm glad this thread exists, because I'd seen the other Umineko threads and just ignored them like any other threads on media I hadn't heard of, but now I'm actually really interesting in reading it. I haven't much media that's very much like Homestuck so I'm pretty excited to check it out.

i'm glad you reading what i said made you interested in it! it's genuinely the most important piece of media to me aside from homestuck which is crazy because i only read umineko last year and i first read homestuck in 2013, and i'm always happy to see more people discovering it

It took me a solid 2 ish years to fully read Umineko while getting distracted a ton, finished it earlier this year and rly glad I did, sitll reading Higurashi though, read all of homestuck for the first time in 2023 insanely quick however idk how I was able to do that
