If you played sburb…

If I played sBurb I'd probably procrastinate quite a bit. I'd be very fearful for my life, but I'd know I'd have to move forward eventually. I'd have a staffkind, because I'm a wizard..OBV LOL. My sylladex would have to be wizard-related, not sure what I would use for that. Maybe I'd have to chant a spell for the thing I want, idk..

I got a wood katana I could combine with like a large knife or something to make an actual sword

I think my sylladex would be like a card game, like yuhioh that seperates items into monsters (weapons) spells(healing items or other useful tools) and traps (anything else) and I could have access to 4 cards before waiting for an opponent to make a move so I can start my next 'turn'

I'd have a genuine blast playing Sburb. Climbing my echeladder, letting off pent up steam fighting imps, exploring, building, making new items... Let me attem, let me be free!!

For my strife specibus, I'd probably default to batkind since I keep a little wooden baseball bat at home, but I'd love to expand to some clawkind types. You know that one episode of Hannibal with the guy who built an animal costume that could attack people? Something like that to fight underlings would be soooo much fun.

Not sure what my syllabus would be, but the Minecraft inventory system is a nice baseline. Limited slots, but a nice hotbar for accessing things quickly.​

firsthand id absolutely go through with it because in my mind my ideal sburb session has my 4 close friends (well one of them isnt As close but i would trust them enough to be in my session) with me and the only other homestuck liker in the friend group coaching the other 3 through things and what to do/how to do it.

second i dont have too many choices for a strifespec? i have a metal bat in my room, i would probably go for batkind, its the option i can do the most with. can probably make something cool as shit too.

for syllabus... im not sure, but i kinda want to shoot for one thatd be based on my hyperfixations? i think a pokemon one with a PC system would be cool. can only access 6 of my items at a time, and anything else i have gets put toward a box system. not sure, but, its fun to think about

I'd go along with it without question, honestly. I mean, hey, the world would presumably be a little apocalypsed by then, so I wouldn't have much else to do! And it'd definitely be interesting, if nothing else. I'm not sure what kind of session I'd end up in, though -- none of my closest friends are at all into Homestuck.

For my strife specibus, umbrellakind. I couldn't tell you why. I do have a fancy-ish umbrella that I could start off with, but I don't have any good reason for choosing that. Just feels right, I guess? ^w^

No idea about the fetch modus, though. Something rather inconvenient, that's for sure. Maybe having to write the object's name in proper cursive? (my handwriting is awful.)

I definitely wouldn't give up on the spot! I mean, I'd know that I'd probably die and lose the game very very quickly, so I'd just try to enjoy it for as long as I can before I inevitably perish.

I'm a bassoonist, so I'd probably go for bassoonkind. Bassoons are kind of expensive, though; using one as a weapon seems like a pretty bad idea. It'd be funny, though.

Strife specibus is hard, I'm just not a very fighty person, but I would bite someone so Teethkind? Honestly once I was in SBURB i'd run as fast as I could to get some magic abilities or some such nonsense. Offset the actual physical fighting aspect. Or mix is with my sylladex idea, make it cardkind

For sylladex the question is go for something funny or something actually usable. I think i'd choose something based around magic the gathering commander decks. So you pick up an item and it gets shuffled into your deck, and you can have a hand of seven items at a time, but to get a new item in hand you have to either wait a set amount of time or get an item that makes you draw more cards. Then make the upside something about how you could store spells as well as items.

I really like everyone's answer's! To be honest I'd probably love playing sburb, i would probably get killed playing it but it would be fun. Also not gonna lie i'd do anything to escape the status quo of the world (and my life in general) i'd only take the people most important to me and everyone else can join their own sessions or idk get meteor'ed losers. if i got the opportunity to make a new universe i'd like to foster the new planet into something better than what we have now, idk if i get to that point ill hopefully have reached god tier and be immortal and have plenty of time to figure it out!

since I don’t really have any friends (yet :o) I would probably play it with my older sibling. They also like homestuck and they’d probably have a blast doing it, though they have their own friends.

I’d probably take an easy approach playing, leveling up and creating lots of items with my alchemizer. I’d probably spend the time making new concoctions like combining my My Little Pony figure with my laptop. What will happen, then? :o

What if I combine a bunch of cookies and cakes? The possibilities are endless!

i think the hardest part for me would be getting into the medium, when i played The Genesis Project i died because i didn't get everything done in time LOL. but after that its smooth sailing i swear, as for strife specibus...i don't really have anything weapon-y in my room. maybe wirekind since i got tons of those? it'd probably function as a whip of some kind.

i think i'd use the NOVELLA sylladex - there are only two rules, the user must write an accurate description of the item in order to access it and the description written must meet the word count of the number it is assigned in your sylladex. your laptop is the 4th card? describe it in 4 words! (someones probably come up with this before...idk but i thought it was pretty clever :D)

i think i would be too caught up on the literal destruction of earth to actually enjoy the game, but i'd probably grind as hard as possible to ensure everything goes smoothly - kind of like what Dave did. ^_^

i'd go along with it, i just think i'd be very anxious at first but i'd adjust in order to help my friends! (as that is who my ideal session would be with...) however i think i would slip up a lot and probably honestly die. the hardest parts would be entering the medium (getting everything done in a timely manner under stress would NOT be easy for me) and then godtiering...i would do it to benefit my friends of course but they may have to take me out cause i'd be so scared

for strife specibus i would probably chose something that doesn't require me to get too close to enemies...so probably riflekind/bowkind?

as for sylladex i'd probably just have something really simple and convenient. typical inventory system that lets me grab whatever whenever with limited space...it wouldn't be very easy to weaponize but honestly that's for the better cause i'd constantly be setting traps for myself.

i would definitely be the one pulling my friends along to actually play the game and getting everything set up. i think i would have the most fun exploring my land and alchemizing a fuck ton of stuff (and flying around after becoming godtier ofc)

i think my strife specibus would be 2x bladekind cuz i have a lot of swords and i really like the idea of dual wielding

i haven't put much thought into my sylladex but since i play piano i think it would be cool to have a fetch modus where every card is assigned a melody that i have to play, kinda similar to how jade had to draw the item she wanted in her pictionary modus
