Anyone else fungry???
I'm a huge fan of both Fear & Hunger games, moreso Termina, and am so so so excited for the upcoming 2.0 update for Termina. I love moonscorching, I love the characters relationships, I love how evil the game is... The first one as well, despite having uhhhhhhhh let's say, a lot of flaws, is really really interesting and has such a unique "kicks your ass" gameplay experience that it kinda carried me through 100%'ing the game...
Oh hell yes, I was waiting for someone to make a F&H thread. Don't get me started I love these games so fucking much, I'm absolutely dogshit at them but the story of Termina roped me in. My favorite character will become obvious when I attach this photo of what my wall used to look like before I had to move.
Long story short, I am incredibly excited for the playable Samarie update.

There's a mod that has playable Samarie as well!! I'm also a huge Samarie fan, tho not as much as you by the looks of it lol
I think the mod actually has playable versions of all the contestants now? I've kind of been wanting to check it out while waiting for the 2.0 Update!
I'm a bigger fan of the first game than termina to be honest. Maybe I'll like it more when this update finally comes out. F&H1 got a lot of post launch support that slowly brought the game up to its excellent standard today (although there are still plenty of unpatched bugs, call it charming jank). Termina never really got that support, with orange insisting on this big giant update, that he ended up losing the files for on one occasion.
I don't even know what he's adding at this point. I know the docks are being expanded, what about the train station? more playable characters are a must, I feel like he started with all the LEAST interesting characters... let me play as the sociopaths, orange. give me a character who would realistically seek out any of the endings.
Speaking of which, new endings would also be appreciated. with F&H1, each character had a pretty realistic motivation for pursuing at least one of the endings, not even counting the S endings. Termina has like, two, two and a half? I can't in good faith call the sulfur god ending an actual ending, its more like one of those easter egg fail states. I'd like endings which a given character in the roster would realistically pursue. Like, none of the characters try to win the contest as NPCs, and only a few of them (i.e. Olivia, abella, karin) would be motivated to uncover the bremen plot. But would they really care to bring about logic? Probably not. None of the endings are especially satisfying for any of the currently playable characters.

Even though I haven't gotten very far in it myself, I think the bugs and jankiness of F&H1 are a huge part of its charm. I do think that Termina currently is much more of a concept than a full game currently, it feels very incomplete at the moment, and it was a little disappointing that Miro actually just. Lost the progress at some point, since the update's been in production for so long. At least recently I saw he was adding some fan favorite features from F&H1 back into play in Termina. I like F&H1 now as its current product, but I think Termina has a whole lot of potential if and when that update comes out, and I hope it gets more support along with the update. I really look forward to seeing the current characters expanded and given more context, since the larger cast and setting seems interesting.

Fear and Hunger rocks. Definitely the game that made me realize how cool RPGmaker games could be, I absolutely love both of them
