Ok so after crying for 3 hours because i learnt kankri was voluntary celebate i noticed something neat. During Kankris tyrade karkat stays COMEPLETELY silent the entire time. at first i thought it was just him being shocked and confused because of all the stuff kank was talking about but i THINK it kinda went passed that. at some point (in one of the dialogue talksprites) porridge asks car if he wants to be there and he STILL doesnt say anything this time with a mildly downtroddden talksprite and clearly no longer flabberghasted but he STILL just kinda stands around, which I thought was weird.KAnkri isnt really forcing him to stay around and kark doesn't have any reason or obligation ton stay there, he's a as much as a YAPPEr as Kankri, hell, an ANGRY yapper at that so what gives and why doesnt kk walk away or verbally tear kankri a new one? well here's what i think is going on, despite saying some rancid crap kankri doesnt really act condescending towards car like he does with the others. i think since carcar and kankan are dancestors they have a certain amount of respect for each other, its enough not to fight or have car walk away (unless someone gets him out) but kankri is so prideful that he feels the need to assert his moral superiority everyone including karkat, or maybe he's trying to impress him!! but I feel like kart boi kiiinda recognizes this? or more metaphorically feels it pressing him down, which makes him sort of socially exhausted. too tired to leave, to weirded out to stay, and kank isnt being an asshole so, why should he do something so rude? so theyre just in a weird in between
