I would like to play a game.
Three people are trapped in a room with no way in or out. How or why they are in there is unimportant, what is important is my fun ability to influence their thoughts and actions. Those pesky things we call "feelings" are out of my dominion, but those aren't important anyways.
I can see them just fine through the viewport of my monitor, but for you I have devised a crude interface to depict them. This is to help you avoid those empathetic humanizing instincts, and to see them as objects for whatever story you want to play out here. Now, I have no problem seeing them that way without depicting them as featureless smileys, but my therapist says that's abnormal.
Now for a few pointers and stipulations to how this game will proceed:
The three of them no longer have names, so they will be referred to as "characters" for now. You are free to give them names if you so please.
You are free to inquire about their appearances, observable personality, etc. despite it going against the point of the game. As a compromise, I retain my right to lie to you at any point if it makes things more interesting. ;)
You will participate by contributing actions and thoughts, no holds barred, and I will put them in place with one stipulation: I will be picking up to three responses at a time and adding them together by traits and subjects to form a singular action. It is up to me how I do the math on that, but I consider myself unbiased. :)
The final stipulation, I wash my hands of anything that happens to these three. While I do the math and pull the trigger, I have nothing to work with without you, dear readers. <3
Let's begin.
Character 1:
State - Centered
Heart Rate - 59 bpm
Character 2:
State - Anxious
Heart Rate - 61 bpm
Character 3:
State - Centered
Heart Rate - 56 bpm
If you want to tell these three apart with names, and contributed icons to depict them with, I suppose I'll allow it. If you'd like me to manifest something for them, I can also do that for you.
(out of character text looks like this, name the narrator whatever you want. whether they take it or not is up to them. general in character responses to inquiries and depiction changes happen whenever, at least once a day. the result of added responses and next "page" of the adventure happens once every other day.
for the sake of the adventure the characters have plenty of oxygen and don't get hungry or thirsty, but feel free to have Nary[my personal suggestion for narrator name] spawn a soda or two for them. i hope you enjoy my adventure ^o^)

>Comfort Character 2, this must be an odd situation!

Character 2 receives a nostalgic bow, they swear they have a personal connection to it. Once they put it on, the thought "he knows where you live" is put in their head.
Character 2 has been given a salmon shade to depict their new apparel. They made a horrible face the moment they put it on, and are now huddling closer to Character 3, avoiding eye contact with Character 1. What's funny is they themself don't know where they live, or how they got here, or what their name was. This has yet to dawn on them, but it'll be a sight to see when it does.
Character 1 is oblivious, keeping to himself.
Character 3 is unsure what the deal is with Character 2, but welcomes them.
Character 1:
State - Centered
BPM - 57
Character 2:
State - Unsettled
BPM - 65
Character 3:
State - Concerned
BPM - 60
An alright start to the game, I personally would have had something more fun happen, but I'm not the one calling the shots haha.

Character 2 has begun hyperventilating, leading the other two to approach. This causes them to fall over into fetal position, they are now having a panic attack. Character 3 has knelt down and is supporting their head with her thigh. She's whispering something in comfort, I can't hear it from here. Character 1 is looking at Character 2 in concern.
What a strange level of care to show to someone you just met. On that topic, I was pleasantly surprised to see no one waste time on feelings like empathy by inquiring about the characters appearances/personalities or suggesting names. This experiment may just go on without a hitch. How do you reward someone for doing something good?

(Added a little hint/reminder for those who don't wanna play along with Nary's game. It's one of your tools that doesn't require an update post to take effect, but it's also not required. You are free to make these little blorbo's suffer to Nary's enjoyment. The game only ends when they all die, or Nary takes action to end it.)
