Anyways Lil Hal is an incredible character because he has so much going on thematically despite not even being a part of the main crew. He contributes a massive amount to the kids getting into the game, and doesn't even get that much credit for it, he grows in ways Dirk failed to (which makes the comparison between the two very interesting), he's got interesting themes about purpose, and frankly, he's just very underrated in my opinion. I could say a lot more, but I'll save the ranting for the actual thread itself.

isn't it fucked up how he is denied entry into the new planet (via arquius being sucked into the black hole) and nobody cared? like he was part of the friend group as much as dirk didn't like to think so, but none of them gave a shit post-canon that he just isn't around anymore.
his quest for personhood and being recognized as not just dirk programmed into glasses was just kind of thrown away like he was. i mean a lot of things in homestuck were thrown away toward the end, arcs and nuance, but damn.
all of this is to say not enough people ship halroxy get on it cmon chop chop the sparks people let them get saucy somehow

it truly is criminal how he just kinda gets... tossed aside at the end. i think i said this in another thread, but i think arquius' existence was such an awful way to resolve his whole deal. like, idk how else to phrase it. so much of his character revolves around him trying to be his own individual person, so putting him in a sprite with another guy is just. really not great!!!

im insane about hal. hes my specialest little guy. hes my dork ass little gooblet. hes the mage of mind the mage of heart the knight of heart i roleplay three iterations of him hes my favorite character to ever exist and i have hyperspecific interpretations for each one. he has a Typing Quirk where he Capitalizes Whatβs Important.
also for some reason they all have TD as a handle. idk why.
